It's true. I failed miserably at not buying anything for the home. So, instead of home goods, I haven't spent any money on clothes. Pretty good trade, right??
And I wasn't able to purchase the Nama gift cards. This whole name change, address change, new card on old account, not on new account... I couldn't figure out my information so my card wouldn't take. Bummer. Chris still takes me there though.
The house gives me projects. I'll have to post some things about that. You know, I've gotta remember those "BEFORE" pics.
Most importantly, our friends, Seth and Kate, had their baby girl, Emery Katherine. She came a bit earlier than expected... The NICU is taking good care of her though. She's just getting stronger and stronger, so Mom and Dad can take her home as soon as possible.
God does miracles everyday.

The Hangover
The Hangover -
Chris: "Absolutely hysterical! Funniest movie since Wedding Crashers!"
Julie: Hilarious! But comes with a strong rating. It's a bit crude though, so be aware. The humor is totally original. With a little imagination, you can see how it would happen.

Public Enemies
Public Enemies -
Chris: "I loved Public Enemies!"
Julie: Definitely a "shoot 'em up" kind of movie. A bit more graphic than my typical taste and I would have enjoyed a bit more romance. It's still a really good movie!

The Proposal and TRANSFORMERS
The Proposal -
Chris: "Pretty good! Worth seeing."
Julie: I liked it too! It is a really cute romantic comedy for the summer. Great actors... (Sandra Bullock is a personal fav.) The age difference of the primary couple is a bit different, but a super cut movie! You'll enjoy.
Transformers -
Chris: "Super Duper!" (Of course he loved it!!! He is a child of the eighties!)
Julie: Great action movie! Loved seeing it on the big screen.

Spending a lot? Living unbalanced?
http://smallnotebook.org/2009/06/15/staying-balanced-while-life-is-full/
Found this blog by accident this morning. I think it's pretty genius.
So is this one, if you can do it:
http://smallnotebook.org/2009/05/13/what-is-no-spend-month/
Maybe worth a try? Or at least it makes me more conscious of what we spend money on. Maybe I just won't buy anything to decorate the house with for the whole month of July. (Shoot! I should have gone to Pier 1 yesterday!!!) Ahhh, it's do-able. I just have to get a little more creative with the things we have. Totally possible! Good luck on whatever you're motivated/inspired to do!
