Pound cake

That's all she wrote, folks!

After cooking countless dinners at the casa (and you probably know better than that), I've found something to keep the hubs alive and well.

Okay, scratch that - let's go with alive and FULL! {Not necessarily a nutritious diet, but still good none-the-less.}

It's a recipe given to me from Amy, who cooks her pants off, so you know she's a reputable source. It's her famous CINNAMON POUND CAKE and we've taken it as a favorite at the Casa Connell.

A man's gotta eat and a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

The very fun Luttrell lake house

(Photography by Adam)
This lovely photo is all we have to remember the Luttrell's fabulous lake weekend.

Except the fabulous memories of course.

Good thing this is a great picture...

Lollipops and smiles

Someone asked me to take some pictures of her sweet children. Shocking, right?? But really, really fun! I took the pictures in early spring and just downloaded a free 30 day version of Photoshop. These are some of my favorites:

V - your children are so sweet and beautiful! Thank you for asking me to take these pictures... Maybe we can do this again, only with three children. :)

Porch Painting

We tackled the porch. Fought the good fight. Kept on keeping on.

Until the porch surrendered. *Victory was ours!* We had conquered the porch over a bazillion coats of paint.
Father-in-law T. may or may not have rode in on a white horse with better, more consistent paint to help us finish.
I cannot tell you if that is true.
But I can tell you that he is a fantastic father in law!

Gorgeous-ness!

Chris tending to his wounds.

A yellow jacket may or may not have stung his foot and made it swell to twice its size two days later.
Okay, okay - I'll tell you - that's true. He had to go to see the doctor when he could no longer get his rather large and in charge foot in his shoe.
Also true - Chris took two big cups of gasoline to the yellow jackets' nest.
They may have won the battle, but we won the war!
