Mamaw's Birthday & my brother

Mamaw just turned 80 years old this year.

Isn't that a wonderful reason to celebrate?

I just love my little Mamaw.

And like all good mamaws, she is country.  She's kind, open, and generous.  And boy, oh boy!  She can cook!

In honor of her, Mom and Dad had the family over for an afternoon cookout.

And after the feast,

everyone gathered outside to take lots of pictures.

Corina kept giving Mamaw the sweetest hugs all day.

She has some of the best hands - soft, gentle but firm, and, as a testament to working her whole life, a little twisted with arthritis.

They have a sister, but she left right before we started taking pictures.  I'm also missing a picture of Craig and most of his family.
