Tennessee vs. Alabama

{Emily, Jennifer & her baby bump, me, Katie, and Cameron}

The girls and I showing off our festive Tennessee gear at the tailgate on Saturday.  Coach Dooley was meeting Coach Saban on the field and we were there to celebrate.

So was Baby Liam:

My man is both an Alabama and Tennessee fan, so for this game, he went neutral in the shirt department.  Between the two teams, he's an Alabama lover {gasp!} but the UT loving company that he works for gave him the tickets.  Since we were going to their company tailgate first, he didn't want to be a controversy.  That's respectable of him.

I, however, did not go neutral.

{Back with the party crowd our friends}

We love this tailgate and the wonderful people who hang out there!

{Pic from the game}

I love the beginnings of games!  They are so full of energy and excitement.  You can tell from this picture just how crowded it was.  Just imagine you are sitting overlapping shoulders with people and had a man with horrible posture leaning back on your legs...
Oh, for the love of the orange and white!

Side note:  the leaning back man turned around and went to high-five Chris after UT scored.  He didn't know he was, shhh!, an Alabama fan because of his neutral shirt color.  It was a bit awkward, but Chris high-fived him anyway.  The guy didn't offer up his hand again though - I think it had to do with the pause and look Chris had on his face.

Earlier in the week, Emily and I decided to leave at half time and head home.  Our husbands stayed - Emily took me home and Chris took Hunter home.

This is our picture from our adventure that night:

I was taking it as proof that we had made it to the car and were still alive.  Even after we made $40 from hauling people in the back of Hunter's pick-up to their car.

It's true.  We did.

Emily was the brave one who said yes when these "classy" looking people asked us  {I added the classy part because you know classy doesn't kill}.  I was the one wondering if we could have them sign liability releases just in case they fell out of the back of the truck.

After our first $20 (which we tried to return), the two couples asked if we'd go after their friends.  They were all from Chattanooga and had no idea where they were parked on campus {the shuttle had picked them up and dropped them off at the stadium}.  We agreed to do it.  One man from the next set of people asked how much they would owe us and, after a little protest, Emily said the best line of the night:  "weeelll, if you have a little cash on you!"  Next thing we knew, we were dropping them off and the same man was throwing a $20 in our window.

Profit $40.

Now, I know some of you are thinking we were crazy.  {Hope you're not reading this, Mom!}  But we kept our doors locked the entire time.  No one was allowed in the cab, only in the back - ride at your own risk kinda thing.  Only a girl, who had been drinking too much, tried to get in the back seat.  Plus, I had mace with me {thanks to the brother}, so we both felt safe(r).  We're thinking of making it our part time job.  What do you think??

GO VOLS!
